| Primula marginata produces, early in the season, umbels of 2 to 20, funnel to tubular shaped, lightly fragrant flowers, 3/4 inch wide, with white-mealy eyes. This rosette-forming evergreen or semi-evergreen perennial has egg-shaped to oblong, leathery, serrated leaves, to 4 inches long. Primroses like climates with cool summers and are good planted in rock gardens, containers or as bedding plants.
'Hyacinthia' bears hyacinth-blue flowers, 1 1/4 inches wide. |
