Ulex gallii
( Dwarf Gorse )
| Gallii, also known as Dwarf gorse, is a spreading shrub with spine-tipped green shoots and rigid leaves. These small, evergreen shrubs have short, spine-like needles or spines and are grown for their yellow, pea-like, year-round flowers. Nice when grown as a low hedge or can be used in the informal border. Best when grown in poor, rocky, sandy soil, in full sun. Rich soil encourages leggy growth. |
