|Compact and vigorous, this hybrid has lance-shaped, mid-green leaves and strong stems. Reaches 24 to 36 inches tall and about 24 inches wide. Flowerheads are large, 2 to 3 inches across, corymbs in lilac-pink. This heat and drought tolerant perennial has a fiberous root system and can become invasive. Flowers will fade in temperatures above 80 degrees, however. Divide annually to maintain. There are many cultivars of the garden favorite. Butterflies are attracted to this plant. Good cut flower that dries well, too. Sometimes referred to as Achillea 'Appleblossom'
