|Trochodendron aralioides is an evergreen shrub reaching 10 to 30 feet tall under cultivation, up to 60 feet tall tree in the wild. It is not known in American gardens. Growth habit is spreading and horizontal. Foliage is a highly attractive rich green, as are the flowers which appear on 2 to 3 inch racemes in late spring. Prefers moist, well drained soil and a sheltered, shady location. Native to mountain forests of Japan and Korea.
