| Primula japonica is robust, with finely serrated light green leaves, to 10 inches long. In midseason, bears 1 to 6 whorls of 5 to 25 red-purple to white flowers, 3/4 inch wide. Partial shade in deep, humus-rich, well-drained, moist soil. Tolerates full sun if soil is kept moist. 18 inches tall and wide. |
