| The culivar, 'Santo Domingo' is a great pepper for stringing into ristras, and grinding into chile pepper. Collected from a pueblo in northern New Mexico. Great container or border plant.
A. annuum seed should be started indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow the seeds in sandy soil and give them warmth. Transplant 12-16 inches apart. Likes a fertilizer treatment once a month. To keep compact, pinch leaves on young plants. Full sun produces best growth and fruiting results. |
