| Prinsepia uniflora is a thorny, dense shrub growing from 4 to 5 feet tall and wide. Leaves are dark green, not as densely foliated as Prinsepia sinensis, and the flowers are small and white, in clusters of 1 to 3, on the previous years wood. Fruits are dark purple-red, 1/2 inch wide, and hang from the branches attractively. Makes a fine hedge or screen. Undemanding shrub. Native to China. |
