| Primula x pubescens (Primula auricula x Primula hirsuta) bears early in the season, umbels of many salverform flowers in white, yellow, pink, red, purple or brown, 1/2 to 1 inch wide. This is a hardy evergreen, rosette-forming perennial with white-mealy, 4 inch long, green leaves that are spoon-shaped to obovate.
Good in rock gardens, containers and as a bedding plant.
'Rufus' bears umbels of about 16 large, red flowers, to 1 1/4 inches wide, with golden yellow centers. Leaves are pale green and shallowly serrated. |
