|This perennial produces 4-6 umbels of small, funnel shaped flowers. Lance shaped leaves of mid green bear following the flowers. An old fashioned favorite, Lycoris, fondly called Naked Ladies, refers to the fact that these bulbous perennials flower in spring or early fall after their leaves have disappeared. Plant bulbs in fall so that necks are at surface level. Best if kept dry during summer months while plant is dormant. They are a natural for the Southern garden since dry summers are most often the case than not.
