| Stranvaesia davidiana is a large shrub or small tree. Evergreen to semi-evergreen. It has an open, somewhat sparse habit. The foliage turns red in the fall, but only on the inside of the plant, producing a two-tone shrub. Small white flowers are borne on loose 3 inch corymbs. The round bright red fruits are very attractive, and persist for a time. Prefers moist, well drained, acidic soil with high organic matter. Native to China. Various cultivars are available. |
