| This plant is closely related to African Violets and Gloxinia and requires similar care. Medium green, lance-shaped, glossy, wrinkled leaves, up to 8 inches long, are stemless and borne in upright rosettes. Tubular, semi-double, dark pink flowers with white throats, up to 1 1/4 inch wide, are held in clustered, showy cymes. Known for a long blooming season, usually from spring to fall, though they sometimes flower intermittently almost all year round. |
