| This perennial is rosette in form and has hairy, toothed, lance-shaped leaves. From late spring to early summer cup-shaped blue flowers are borne. This dramatic plant grows to a height of 4-5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. Best suited to zones 7-8 and well-drained, humus-rich soil that is neutral to slightly acid. Requires partial shade and a site protected from cold drafts. Mulch well. Ideal for the cool moist garden. Will not tolerate heat or drought. |
