| Trifoliata is a clump-forming, rhizomatous perennial with 3-palmate basal hairy, mid-green leaves. Produces pendent white flowers in loose panicles, opening from pinkish white buds. In general, Tiarella is a clump forming perennial, spread by rhizomes or stolons. Small white or pink flowers are born on slender spikes, arising from the rosette of leaves. They require partial to full shade, moist, well drained soil. Very pretty in a shaded corner of a rock garden, and can be used as a groundcover in areas without foot traffic. Various species and cultivars are available. |
