|Habit is broad, conical, compact, to 50 feet tall and 25 feet wide. When young, 'Fastigiata' is narrow and upright. Leaves are elliptic to ovate, shiny, deep green, deeply lobed, to 6 inches long. White flowers are borne in corymbs to 5 inches wide, followed by brilliant red, round berries. This hardy tree can tolerate heat or cold, strong winds and low humidity. Must have good drainage. Canker and fire blight may be a problem with this plant.
