| This open rosette habit has leaves that reach up to 2 1/2 feet. Twenty to thirty vivid green leaves with red tinting at the base. The stalk rises above the foliage, bearing green bracts ending in a thick vivid red spike up to 8 inches in length and 2 inches in diameter. The reddish-white flower color is long lasting. It can adapt and grow on a variety of surfaces such as an epiphytic or terrestrial on trees in thick dark forests ranging from sea-level to 6,000 feet above sea-level. |
