| This short-lived perennial, often treated as an annual in colder climates, is grown primarily for it's pretty, tubular, two-lipped flowers (all colors but blue and yellow). The leaves are narrow and lance shaped (up to 5 inches long).

Penstemon pseudospectabilis bears from spring to summer, spike-like racemes of tubular, rose-purple flowers, sometimes with yellow-tinged throats. Grows 2 to 3 feet tall, 1 1/2 inches wide. |
