| Fenestrata is a cormous perennial with upright, lance-shaped, basal leaves. Produces spikes of up to 10 cup-shaped, orange to pinkish red flowers with arching, wiry stems. In general, Tritonia produces clumps of narrow, swordlike leaves, and long branched stems bearing clusters of bright flowers in late spring to early summer. Excellent as cut flowers, long lasting. Plant corms 2 to 3 inches deep, in well drained soil. In areas that are wet or very cold, corms should be lifted in fall for winter storage. Good plant for borders and rock gardens. |
