| Moss-like, dwarf, evergreen perennial with tufts of small, linear, bright green leaves, up to 1/2" long. Solitary, nearly stalkless flowers are dark pink or white, to 1/2" wide, borne in late summer.
Grows to 2" tall and spreads 8". This delicate plant is at home in scree beds and is also suitable for rock gardens and as a groundcover in cooler, drier climates. Native to mountain screes in North America, Eurasia, and the Arctic. |
