| C. dentatus differs from other Ceanothus only slightly, being smaller of stature, usually less than five feet in height, with small leaves and small flower cymes in deep blue. Compact, low-growing, broad, evergreen shrub with leaves that are oblong, glossy, dark green and finely toothed up to 2 inches long. Dark blue flowers are borne profusely in large lateral cymes up to 3 inches long. Excellent for a shrub border or against a sunny wall. |
