( Nana )
| 'Nana' is a dwarf compact, shrub with small, neat foliage. Vivid red berries are usually hidden by the compact branches. It has smaller leaves than the species and are ovate and shallowly toothed, to 1-1/2 inches long. New growth is rich yellow-green without the purplish tinge. Trouble-free, fast growing hedge or background for flower borders. Shears well as topiary or espalier. Makes a large mounded cushion if not pruned. Durable and long-lived. Native to the South. Tolerant of any soil and salt spray. |
| Important Info : Leaves have extremly high cafine levels and if ingested could induce vomiting, thus the species name vomitoria. |
