| The cultivar, 'Jemez' are good medium hot peppers, average 3-4 inches long. Grown in the Jemez Pueblo, along the Jemez River, a tributary of the Rio Grande. Great container or border plant.
C. annuum should be started indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow the seeds in sandy soil and give them warmth. Transplant 12-16 inches apart. Likes a fertilizer treatment once a month. To keep compact, pinch leaves on young plants. Full sun produces best growth and fruiting results. |
