Propagating petunia from seeds

dear gardeners,
I am located in the tropical climate of Malaysia. I had bought a few hanging baskets of petunia of different hybrids from the local nursery as seeds are not anymore commonly found to be on sale in the shops.

My question:
How can I propagate my petunias from the existing ones. Some said it is possible by cutting of its new stems? If I am to use the seeds from the flowering plants which I bought for propagation purposes,how can I obtain the seeds from the plants? from the dead flowers?
