peony seedlings

does anyone have any advice on how to care for peony seedlings that have germinated from seed this spring? I live in New Jersey and currently have the seedlings in my house in clay pots. When can I put them outside? Do they have to be a certain size to be able to go outside? Do I keep them in the clay pots for a certain period of time outside or inside the house or do I place them in the soil? Please help.
