Posted by Bruce Simmons on June 20, 2003 at 17:47:24: This is my first year of attempting to grow a big, one and all was looking good until a brief but powerful hail storm swept through. In less than 5 minutes my pumpkin leaves were full of holes. Lukily, they are not shredded and it's early in the season. I'm not sure what to do to help them recover. Should I give them more nitrogen in an attmept to get more growth to replace the damaged leaves? If anyone can provide any advise, I would be very grateful.
