planting pumkins

need help! my daughter brought home these pumkins plants and both of them have two plants each. They started them in small cup made out of newspaper. Two of the plantes are 6" tall and the other two are 4" tall. I know nothing about gardens or growing pumkins. Thanks for any help. Julie
