In addition to the prize money at this year's weigh-off, there 
are plaques in some categories.   This is dependent on the PNWGP
G's available funds.   There will be certificates and/or ribbons
 for all participants.

*SPECIAL NOTE:  Pumpkins awarded 4th - 13th places will remain 
at the Farm for display during October.  

OFFICIAL RULES
1.   The pumpkin must have been grown and cared for by the 
     exhibitor.
2.   An exhibitor may enter only one specimen per class and 
     there may be no more than two entries per family.
3.   Color requirements - to be eligible for the heaviest 
     pumpkin, the entry must be a minimum of 75% white to 
     cream-yellow to orange in color.  All others will be 
     considered squash.
4.   The specimen must be sound, healthy and undamaged.  
     Entries must be free of rot, holes/cracks through to the 
     cavity, chemical residue and serious soft spots.
5.   No foreign material is permitted to be included in the 
     weighing.  Vines must be trimmed to one inch from the stem 
     of the fruit.  The judges reserve the right to fully 
     inspect each specimen before the weight is announced and is
     official.
6.   Any specimen previously entered or weighed at any other 
     National or International competition prior to this 
     contest is not eligible for competition.
7.   In the event of a tie, the prize money for those placings 
     will be combined and split equally.
8.   The three heaviest pumpkins at each site must ultimately 
     be weighed without the use of tarps or other carrying 
     devices.
9.   The decisions of the judges is final.
