Rhododendron ( Ida Marnion Hines Hybrid Azalea )

One of the largest growing evergreen azaleas, prefering temperatures that do not drop below 10 to 20 degrees F. Hines azaleas are hybrids between Belgian Indica and Southern indica types, and are tolerant of salt and moderate sun. Blooms can appear as early as late winter, depending on area of the country, and last through mid-spring. This, as all azaleas, are best planted high, in acidic, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. Though azaleas can potentially have many pest and disease problems, they are usually trouble free if planted correctly in the proper cultural conditions.
