The original rose of this class sometimes known - perhaps a little unfairly - as the 'Cabbage Rose'. It forms a graceful lax shrub with large, drooping, deeply globular flowers of clear pink, opening to form a many-petalled cup.

The rose often seen in the paintings of the Dutch Masters.
