Description: Highly decorative with lots of crinkled purple-red leaves. Excellent cold tolerance cropping during autumn to winter. Wonderful for growing in the flower border!

Sowing Instructions: Sow during April-May in a well prepared seed bed in drills 1cm (½in) deep, 23cm (9in) apart. Temp. 20-30C Germination 5-10 days.

Growing Instructions: When large enough to handle thin out to 23cm (9in) apart and transplant to final positions spaced by 60cm (24in) in June/July. They prefer a fertile, well drained soil, and can be planted to follow beans, peas, lettuce and onions etc.

Aftercare Instructions: Harvest from January to April picking the centre of the plant first as this will encourage side shoots to grow for further picking.
