Description: Busy Lizzie (Imatiens) Unique - A premier blend of the best colours; exclusive to Thompson & Morgan. This original mixture brings together twelve of the latest and most stunning Buzy Lizzies. There are pure colours, bicolours, swirled and picoteed - some with a delcate 'eye', all with either green or dark bronze-green foilage. They make a unique splash of colour in baskets and containers or planted en masse in the border. Flowers all summer. Hgt. 20-25cm (8-10in). Germination : Some experience useful. Lobelia Cascading Regatta Blue Splash - Masses of white flowers, unusually splashed in marine blue to give an intriguing effect on trailing plants. Compared to other cascading Lobelias, they can bloom up to four weeks earlier and flower all summer long. Especially effective in hanging baskets, Flower Pouches T and other containers. Flowers summer. Trailing. CAUTION: Lobelia: All parts are poisonous.
Sowing Instructions: Busy Lizzie (Imatiens) Unique - Sow from February to May at 21-24C (70-75F) on the surface of a good free draining seed compost. Apply a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite, but do not cover seed completely. Ensure the soil is damp but not wet and seal inside a polythene bag until after germination, usually about 14-21 days. Do not exclude light.
Lobelia Cascading Regatta Blue Splash - Sow February-March at 18-24C (65-75F) in a good seed compost. Sow seeds on surface of compost and gently firm down the compost. Keep soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination takes 14-21 days.
Growing Instructions: Busy Lizzie (Imatiens) Unique - When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting our after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in sun or part shade on ordinary well drained soil. For pot plants, baskets etc transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots, grow cool, well ventilated and give plenty of light, but shade from direct sun.
Lobelia Cascading Regatta Blue Splash - When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant in bunches of 3 or 4 and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 10cm (4in) apart in a sunny spot in light, moist soil. For pots, containers etc. Leave in a sheltered spot for a few days to make sure that they are well established before standing outside.
