Description: A tasty winter salad vegetable which can even be picked with snow on the ground. The succulent leaves are a staple ingredient for winter salads.
Sowing Instructions: Sow at fortnightly intervals from late summer to late autumn in a sunny position and well drained soil which is in good heart. Sow in drills 12mm (½in) deep and 15cm (6in) apart. Water the young plants during dry spells.
Growing Instructions: Thin out when large enough to handle to 10cm (4in) apart.
Aftercare Instructions: To harvest first pull up every other plant and then pick a few of the outer leaves from the remaining plants.
