Growing couldn't be easier, providing a non-stop supply of colourful and textured leaves suitable for braising, stir-fries or salads.
Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | for continuous supply sow every 2 weeks beginning 3 weeks before your last frost date onwards |
| Sowing depth: | 2cm (¾in) deep in drills 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. |
Sow thinly in soil that has been raked to a fine tilth.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to 23-30cm (9-12in) apart.
Prefers any soil in good sun.
Aftercare Instructions
Harvest young leaves as required, picking only a few from each plant.
Sowings made in late summer will carry on cropping into winter if given protection by cloches or row cover.
