| Sowing depth: | 3mm (1/8in) |
Sow at 21 -27C (70-80F) in a good seed sowing mix. Soaking the seed for 2 hours in tepid water before sowing is helpful. Keep soil damp but not wet, sealing in a plastic bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 5-14 days.
In long season areas they can also be sown where they are to flower after last frost and thinned out to required distance.
Growing Instructions
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm (3in) pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 15-23cm (6-9in) apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil.
Caution
Seeds are poisonous.
