Description
Extra large, highly decorative leaves of deepest red with a medium mustard flavor.
Sow from spring onwards to use as 'cut and come again' or in summer/autumn to overwinter.
Great for salads and stir-fries.
Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | Sow outdoors every 3 weeks in spring until weather warms and again late summer to fall |
| Sowing depth: | 2cm (¾in) |
Sow outdoors in drills 30-45cm (12-18in) apart, in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.
After sowing, keep well watered until seedlings appear.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to 23-30cm (9-12in) apart.
Aftercare Instructions
Harvest young leaves as required, picking a few only from each plant.
Sowings made in late summer will carry on cropping into winter if given protection by cloches.
