Gorgeous fashionable color. Uniform plants have large, rounded flower heads, produced early in the season and continue right up to severe frosts.

Sowing Instructions

Sow in good seed sowing mix. Germination takes 7-14 days at 20-25C (70-75F). The soil temperature should be steady, low or fluctuating temperatures may cause the seed to take much longer to germinate.

Growing Instructions

When large enough to handle transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots, move to 10cm (4in) pots 5-6 weeks after sowing and apply liquid fertilizer regularly beginning 3-4 weeks after final potting. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions and plant out in late spring after all risk of frost has passed 30cm (12in) apart in full sun and well-drained soil.

For containers, baskets etc., stand in a shady spot for a couple of days after planting to allow them to become well rooted and make sure that they are fully hardened off before moving outside to a sunny, sheltered spot.

Aftercare Instructions

Fertilize monthly, water when soil becomes dry and deadhead regularly to keep plants blooming well.
