Description
Dwarf, very striking annual with top branching so ideal for flower arranging. It also becomes variegated very soon after planting outdoors.
Sowing Instructions
Sow at 15-18C (60-65F), 3mm (1/8in) deep in a good seed compost. Keep soil damp but not wet. Germination usually takes 10-21 days.
Growing Instructions
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out, after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in sun and ordinary well drained soil.
Aftercare Instructions
To produce longer lasting 'cut flowers', sear the cut ends over a flame or dip them in boiling water.
Caution
Toxic if eaten. Skin and eye irritant.
