Description
Bright purple-red stems and deep purple leaves, veined in red.
Countless number of intense purple-red tassels.
Sowing Instructions

Sow indoors in good seed sowing mix.
Germination usually takes 5-14 days at 21-24C (70-75F).
They can also be sown outdoors where they are to flower during May once the soil has warmed.
Keep moist until after germination and thin out to 35-45cm (12-18in) apart.
Growing Instructions
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow in cooler conditions.
Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 5-10 days before planting out, after all risk of frost, 45-60cm (18-24in) apart in a sunny spot.
Aftercare Instructions
The cut flowers last well in water and can also be dried.
If this is done carefully the flowers keep their color for some time.
For pot plants provide a humid atmosphere.
