Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | March to May. |
| Sowing depth: | 12mm (½ inch) deep in drills 30cm (12 inches) apart. |
Sow thinly in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.
Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods.
Germination takes around 21 days.
Can also be sown indoors for earlier flowering.
Sow in pots or trays and keep at between 15-20C (59-68F).
After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination.
Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 30cm (12 inches) apart.
For indoor sown seed, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3 inch) pots or trays.
When well grown and after all risk of frost, plant out into final positions.
