Description
A striking bicolour with pure white spiky petals, each with a dramatic brushed blood-red tip. These fully double flowers up to 6cm across, are produced on short, strong stems. Ideal for use in containers and bedding interplanted with spring flowering bulbs.
Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | late May/June. |
| Sowing depth: | 6mm (¼ inch) deep in drills 30cm (12 inches) apart. |
Sow outdoors in a well prepared seed bed. Sow the seeds very thinly and keep the soil damp until germination takes place.
They can also be sown indoors in boxes, pricked out, grown on and planted out into a reserve border when well established.
Growing Instructions
Thin out the seedlings to 15cm (6 inches) apart when large enough to handle, or transplant to a reserve border which is not exposed to full sun. Transplant 23cm (9 inches) apart into flowering site in the autumn for flowering the following spring.
Kitchen Notes
