Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | spring. |
| Sowing depth: | 1.5mm (1/16in) |
Germination usually takes 6-14 days at 24-27C (75-80F).
Growing Instructions
Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into 8cm (3in) pots. Grow on under cooler conditions and when about 20cm (8in) tall, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions. Plant out 45cm (18in) apart with 75cm (30in) between the rows in a warm sheltered sunny spot in moist, fertile well drained soil and keep well watered.
Aftercare Instructions
Provide support and tie in regularly. Remove side shoots and restrict the plant to one main stem. This is a semi determinate variety, if growth ends in a flower truss, select the nearest side shoot and train up as the main stem. In late summer remove the growing tip to hasten ripening.
