Growing couldn't be easier, providing a non-stop supply of colourful and textured leaves suitable for braising, stir-fries or salads.
Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | After last frost so that pods will mature in the cooler weather of late summer to early fall |
| Sowing depth: | 2cm (¾in) deep in drills 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. |
Prefers to be grown in fertile, moist yet well drained soil which has had plenty of well rotted compost dug into it the previous autumn.
For an early start sow in April indoors or under glass and plant out after the last expected frost.
Outdoors do not sow until at least 10 days after the last frost 5cm (2in) deep, 15cm (6in) apart in rows 38cm (15in) apart.
