Description
A very popular, easy to grow and reliable variety producing an abundance of dark green leaves.
Long standing if grown in good, moist soil which is kept watered during dry weather.
Ideal for successional sowing to give a longer cropping period.
Broad, deep green leaves; ideal for freezing.
Popeye was right, you can eat no better vegetable than spinach.
Rich In vitamins A and C, beta-carotene, lutein and dietary fibre.
Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | March to July outdoors. |
| Sowing depth: | Sow seed thinly, 1cm (½in) deep in broad drills, 30cm (12in) apart. |
Can be sown under cloches or frames in September.
Growing Instructions
Thin seedlings to 5cm (2in) apart when large enough to handle, thinnings will be suitable for use in salads, Harvest leaves as required, picking only a few from each plant.
Aftercare Instructions
Keep plants well watered during hot, dry weather.
