Sowing Instructions
| Sowing time: | mid-January to mid-March. |
Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays.
Do not cover the seed.
Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a temperature of around 24-27C (75-80F).
After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination.
Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 15-60 days.
Caution: Dust-like seeds.
To open, hold over a sheet of white paper, cut along three sides of inner pack and carefully open out flat.
Tap the packet gently to dislodge seed.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays.
When well grown, pot on into hanging baskets or Flower Pouches™.
Aftercare Instructions
Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 15-20cm (6-8in) apart, or plant into baskets and containers.
For best results, provide a rich, light, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade.
