Description The longest flowering and best double flowered Calendula we have ever seen on T&M's trials. Strong, sturdy, dwarf, multi-branching plants produce luminous, large, fully double blooms, to brighten summer borders and containers. Sowing Instructions | Sowing time: | March to May | | Sowing depth: | Sow 12mm (½in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart. | Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. For Spring/Summer flowering sow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on cool in full light and water sparingly. Growing Instructions When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 20cm (8in) apart. Kitchen Notes The petals can be used as a substitute for saffron, added to soups, rice or omelettes. They also make a bright addition to salads.
