Description A kaleidoscope burst of bright summer colour from silky chalice shaped, mallow blooms in shades of pink, mauve, scarlet and white, some with a darker central disc. These gorgeous flowers are arranged in spiral formation on tall, slender stems and make a superb show in large clumps in the border. Height 91-102cm (36-40in). Flowers Summer. Sowing Instructions | Sowing time: | February to late March. | Sow in good seed sowing compost just covering the seed with compost or vermiculite. After sowing, seal the seed container inside a polythene bag, place in a propagator and don't exclude light which is beneficial to germination. The seedlings usually emerge in 21-60 days at 20C (70F). Growing Instructions When large enough to handle transplant them to boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots, and grow cool. When well grown, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days and then plant out 30cm (12in) apart in a sheltered sunny site and a rich, well drained soil.
