Description Attractive chubby little plants useful for border or rockery with glaucous grey-blue fan-like leaves above which dance fat, waxy nodding flowers of lilac-blue and cream. The dainty flowers are useful for cutting and the seed heads for dried flower arrangements. Flowers spring. Height 22-30cm (9-12in). Sowing Instructions | Sowing time: | late winter to early summer | Sow seed on the sruface of a good seed sowing mix. Germination can take from 1-3 months at 15-21C (60-70F), to speed this up seal in a plastic bag after sowing and leave in a refrigerator (3-5C) for 3 weeks then place in warmth (15-21C). Inspect regularly and remove if any start to germinate in the fridge. Growing Instructions Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. When plants are well grown, harden off and plant out 12in apart in moist well drained soil, sun or part shade, after last frost but at least 8 weeks before first fall frost. Caution Harmful if eaten.
