Description
Thoroughly delightful dwarf Pinks, especially for the rockery, stone wall or to edge paths and borders.
Their gentle, sweet scent pervades the garden on a warm day and even out of flower, their cushion forming silver foliage complements other plants and situations in the garden.
Flowers late spring/summer.
Height 15cm (6in), spread 30cm (12in).

Sow in good seed sowing compost.
Germination takes 7-14 days at 18-20C (65-70F).
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle transplant to boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots.
When well grown gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out in late spring after all risk of frost 30cm (12in) apart in full sun and a light, rich, well drained soil.
Aftercare Instructions
Plants from a summer sowing are best overwintered in a cold frame and planted out in the spring.
After flowering remove flower stems and give a good watering and a feed of high potash fertiliser.
Kitchen Notes
The spicy clove flavoured flowers add a zest to salads and can be candied, made into jam or sweet-sour pickle!.
