Beetroot - Bull's Blood
The dark foliage is widely used as an attractive baby leaf salad, adding an almost crimson color to salads. Can also be used when roots are of good size and a mature deep crimson color. Sow late April-July. For early crops sow bolt resistant types like Detroit 6: Rubidus in March-April. 45 days as a salad leaf; 70 days as roots.
