I think that the plant you are referring to is called Rose of Sharon. The plant may have transplant shock. Fertilize the plant with a 10-10-10 (all-purpose) fertilizer, like Miracle-Gro, to help the plant recover. The fertilizer is easy to use and will help the plant, instructions are on the back of the box. Good luck!
