Dear Paul,

Please don't rototill anything around the base of your lilac. It would be better to simply leave the plant alone. Simply watering and fertilizing the plant is a smarter idea. Rototilling around the roots of the plant isn't a good idea because it may destroy the roots. What are the coffee beans used for? Are they acidic?
